In the Palm of our Hands

Rev. Dr. Peter Coutts visited St John's on February 19. Peter is the Presbytery Representative who is helping St John's search for its next minister to follow Nancy Cocks when she retires in the summer. In his sermon, Peter reflects on the nature of ministry and the double-edged truth at its heart - We are secure in God's hands, to be sure. But God has also placed ministry into our hands. And he doesn't just mean into the hands of the ordained minister! Peter, following St Paul, has some thoughts for all of us and our ministries.
