The Truth in Grace

During Lent this year, St John's is reading stories from John’s Gospel and focusing on the interesting characters who meet Jesus. Each of them seeks something a little different from him. In his response to each person, we gain a different angle on salvation and what it means for us, depending on the path our life has taken. So far we’ve looked at Nicodemus and salvation as a quest for truth and the woman at the well who met salvation as truth that set her free. Today we read a story that gets left out of some Bibles – and we have to wonder why. It’s the story of a woman caught in adultery. What does salvation mean for her?
